At Road Runner Driving School, we provide structured, hands-on driver education designed to meet Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) requirements and prepare students for real-world driving.
Our courses combine classroom learning, behind-the-wheel practice, and one-on-one coaching with certified instructors.
Complete Driver Training Package (40 Hours)
Objective: Earn your license through comprehensive training that combines both classroom and behind-the-wheel learning.
Classroom Instruction (30 Hours)
Objective: Build a strong foundation in traffic laws, driver safety, and road awareness.
What You’ll Learn:
- Arizona traffic laws and safe driving principles
- Speed control, road signs, and right-of-way rules
- Defensive driving and hazard recognition
- Sharing the road with other drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians
- Handling emergencies and adverse weather conditions
Includes:
- 30 total hours of instructor-led classroom sessions
- Interactive discussions, visuals, and quizzes
- Pre-permit test preparation
- Certificate of completion (recognized by ADOT)
Ideal For:
Teens and new drivers preparing for their first permit or license.
Behind-the-Wheel Training (10 Hours)
Objective: Apply classroom knowledge on the road under safe, supervised conditions.


What You’ll Learn:
- Proper steering, braking, and smooth vehicle control
- Right & left turns, three-point turns, and parking
- Merging, lane changes, and highway driving
- Defensive driving habits and space management
- Road test practice and professional evaluation
Includes:
- 10 hours of private lessons
- Dual-controlled vehicles
- Instructor feedback after each session
- Pickup/drop-off (within select areas)

Students wanting hands-on experience before the MVD test.
